Another day of 30 minutes to catch up. Today I:
- Pulled everything out of one corner of the closet
- Vacuumed and dusted the corner of the closet
- Tossed a few odds and ends (a random metal curtain rod, a couple wayward cough drops)
- Put all the sheets and pillow cases that were strewn about into the laundry basket
- Began sorting papers from 2 tubs I had in the back of the closet
- Recycled 4 pieces of paper (I’ve sorted these tubs at least once before so there’s less to get rid of)
I learned: it’s getting more challenging as I get to stuff I’ve gone through in the past and decided to keep. It might take longer to review things since I’ve already gotten rid of the stuff that was easy to part with. My goal is not necessarily to purge as much as possible; I just want to make intentional choices about what I keep. I probably have about 5 plastic tubs total of old letters, memories, etc. I’d love to get it down to 3 or 4 but even if I don’t reduce it that much, I’ll be happy if I’ve kept the stuff that’s most important to me and let go of anything that’s not meaningful.
